Windows File Explorer: A recent update to Windows is causing IDA ICE to crash when File Explorer is opened, for example when using "Save As...", "Open...", or "Import CAD".
Workaround:
-
Delete DLL files "msvcp140.dll" and "vcruntime140.dll" from the folder "bin" in the IDA ICE installation folder. For example "C:\Program Files (x86)\IDA\bin"
-
Test if IDA ICE is functioning as intended.

ESBO startup crash with SentinelOne on Windows 11: There is a known issue where Sentinel Agent, part of the SentinelOne anti-virus software, may cause ida-esbo.exe to crash during the startup of ESBO. This occurs because Sentinel Agent injects itself as a DLL, which then attempts to access a null pointer. So far, this issue appears to be limited to Windows 11 (specific versions affected are currently unknown).
Workaround: Add an exclusion for ida-esbo.exe in SentinelOne to prevent the crash.
Note: This does not appear to be Sentinel Agent flagging ESBO as malicious. Instead, it is caused by a problem in Sentinel Agent's DLL injection behavior, which is outside of our control.
All versions of ESBO are probably affected

VDI 2078 extension: When a VDI window without a shading device is chosen, the incident diffuse solar radiation is disregarded in the simulation. The bug does not apply for a window where the solar shading is merely turned off. VDI 2078 is a German standard for cooling load calculations.
Introduced in the VDI 2078 extension to ESBO 2.3
Will be fixed in next version of the VDI 2078 extension
